AR Tetradrachm, 17.07g. 26mm. c.455-409 B.C. Apollo and Artemis driving quadriga r. ; corn-grain in exergue. Rv. River-god Selinus standing l. and sacrificing with a patera over a lighted altar with r. hand; he holds a laurel branch in l. hand; cock to left in front of altar; bull standing on masonry plinth to r.; selinon leaf(archaic symbol of the city) in field to r. SNG ANS 697(dies). Schwabacher 23(dies). Some light graffiti in obv. field above quadriga. Lightly toned and exceptionally complete for this type.
