AR Stater, 7.62g. 21mm. c.330-300 B.C. Nude warrior riding r. and thrusting spear downwards; shield and two javelins behind. Rv. Nude Taras riding l. and holding spindle over l. shoulder; eagle in field to r.; waves below. Vlasto 570(dies). Fischer-Bossert 1059(dies). Lightly toned and of fine early Hellenistic style. The eagle on the reverse is in the style of those used by Alexander the Molossian.
